Joe Leonard, a 3-time AMA Grand National champion, 1932-2017

Joe Leonard passed away on April 27, 2017Joe Leonard passed away on April 27, 2017 in a San Jose, California, nursing home at the age of 84. A three-time AMA Grand National champion, he was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 1991 and in 1998 he was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.

Leonard’s racing accomplishments were extremely rare, as the San Diego native won national championships on both two and four wheels.

2017 Charlotte AFT Race Results – Jared Mees captures victory for Indian Motorcycle Racing in American Flat Track Season opener at Daytona and then again took 1st in Atlanta but his teammate, Bryan Smith, took his Scout FTR750 to the top of the box on Saturday night in Charlotte.

Indian racer, Brad “the Bullet” Baker took the hole shot and held point for a total of 5 laps. But by lap 10 he was out.

Hank Thibodeau of Widowmaker CDR is building Lo Life Luci, a custom sled, for the Kustom Kulture Artisan Show at the Cherokee Blue Ridge Run.

Thibodeau is competing for the $23,000 in cash awards. Lo Life Luci features a 2015 Harley-Davidson 103 inch mill with a modified Ultima frame.

The frame is built 4″ up and 4″ out with custom 8″ stretch and drop seat. The front forks are a one off banana fork style featuring Suspension Technology custom valved Black Hills shocks. [Read more…]
