The Progressive International Motorcycle Show rolls into the teeth of winter with a much anticipated stop in Minneapolis, MN. Independent shops, dealers, builders and Hamsters all converged at the Minneapolis Convention Center to showcase their latest builds at the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show.
And the 2017 edition didn’t disappoint. It was huge, one of the best shows in the series with guys bringing their “A” Game.
Winners and runner ups from the Minneapolis competition are guaranteed entrance into the Ring of Champions at the US Nationals held concurrently with the Chicago round of the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show.
Minneapolis Results 2017 Ultimate Builder – FreeStyle
Jordan Dickinson of Union Speed and Style brought in his Frost Buzzard, a 1951 Harley-Davidson Pan Head that was customized in his shop. Everything is hand made and one of a kind. It features a custom frame and hand-formed gas and oil tanks. The paint is by Michael Cody.

The Dana Hallberg’s Deadline Customs Bagger took the win at Minneapolis with his 2011 Harley-Davidson Road King. The deep red full custom body, 30” front wheel, custom kandy paint.

Minneapolis Results 2017 Ultimate Builder – RETRO MOD
Jordan Dickinson’s Harley-Davidson Knucklehead was built out of his Union Speed & Style shop in Minneapolis. It took home top honors in the Retro MOD Class. The Knucklehead is a concept bike from the 30’s and 40’s as if Harley was making a race bike back in the day.

- Paul Martinson took the Ingenuity Award for his 1968 Ward’s Riverside Benelli named Cafe a la Carte.
