The Largest Custom Series in the USA
The Progressive International Motorcycle Show rolls into the teeth of winter with a much anticipated stop in Minneapolis, MN. Independent shops, dealers, builders and Hamsters all converged at the Minneapolis Convention Center to showcase their latest builds at the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show.
And the 2017 edition didn’t disappoint. It was huge, one of the best shows in the series with guys bringing their “A” Game.

Dallas Builders
Kyle Shorey of Speed Foundry rolled in My Pal, a cool 1979 Harley-Davidson FX sled. It features a metal flake cream paint job with brass accents throughout. Kyle built the handlebars, custom grips, footboards, handshift shift gate, dash and exhaust. The bike is truly an impressive sled.
When Cowboy Kyle Shorey got called up on stage he did a forward flip to make a grand entrance for his accolades.
Jeremy Cupp took 2nd in New York before the holiday break and then motored into the 1st at the Washington DC edition of the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike show. He beat all comers in FreeStyle with his custom Sportster called LC Speedster.

Nick Beaulieu of Forever Two Wheels threw down the gauntlet and took 1st in FreeStyle and 1st in MOD Retro with his custom choppers at the New York edition of the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show. The custom show is housed inside the 7-city Progressive International Motorcycle Show.

Andrew Ursich Wins 2016 Ultimate Builder in Long Beach, CA
The first show of the season is a great place to catch up on the latest products. Like K&N Filters, they released a new articulated miniature shaker hood air cleaner that looked like it was plucked off a 1970’s era Dodge Challenger.
The SHO DOG is awarded to the individual that works the show to promote their business and the custom bike industry. Charles Hollom took to the stage and received a leather solo bag provided by The Leatherworks, the home of the nickel bag.

Dickinson’s trip to Orlando ended up being highly successful, as the Minnesota native earned the coveted automatic qualifier for the 2018 AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building in Germany.
The Knucklehead took a year to complete and is full of hand-made parts.
Tice takes 2nd in MOD Harley
Even though it was Super Bowl 50 weekend, the show was packed with enthusiasts. The bikes were outstanding with the MOD Retro class full of interesting and diverse custom sleds.
J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder FreeStyle Class – Katie Washnok’s custom motorcycle is named Pearl and it took 1st at the Minneapolis 2016 Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show. Katie is the “better half” of the husband and wife team that builds custom bikes from Blackout Motors, a shop that is a stones throw from Sturgis, SD.

It was Pig Trail Harley’s 3rd event and a first in support of the Championship of the Americas.The 2016 Pig Trail Harley-Davison Bike Show had 43 entries competing for $7500 in prize money.
Mike Hall of Pig Trail Harley-Davison said:
From the hand made trophies, to the registration process, to end results and awards ceremony everything went smooth. The Bike Show was a resounding success and they plan to have Bob Kay of Biker Pros back next year to do it again!”

Krystal wins Mod Custom
The Republic of Texas Invitational Custom Bike Show is a show within the old-school ROT Rally.
In the middle of the Austin, Texas the Thunder Dome over 30 custom bikes were on display representing 3 custom classes including FreeStyle, Custom Retro and Custom Street. Four of the bikes had won national shows so the competition was outstanding.
The Invitational Custom Bike Show is diversified. Everyone from professional builders to enthusiasts that delight in personalizing their machine provided an outstanding show for the ROT Rally enthusiasts.
