Cleveland had killer sleds from The Gas Box, Hoosier Daddy Choppers and Steele Kustoms to name a few. The Ultimate Builder hosted a healthy combination of Joes vs Pros motorbikes with the builders selecting the money winners through peer to peer judging.

FreeStyle Ultimate Builder Class
The star of the show was The Gas Box as they took their third FreeStyle win in as many years. Jesse Bassett, the owner of The Gas Box, is a Gen Next builder savant from the Buckeye state. He has won with a BSA, Indian and now a BMW Boxer Bobber. The common denominator in his builds? They are freak’n cool. The bike features a custom made frame and sheet metal in a rigid frame. The 1983 mil sports 800cc and weber carbs.

MOD Harley Ultimate Builder Class
The Hoosier Daddy Chopper’s Firehouse Racer features a Harley-Davidson 96 CI Twincam engine with hand-fabricated exhaust tipped with 1920′s fire hose brass nozzles, S&S Carb and Ultima 2in belt drive. Illumination comes from a 1910 Jose Lucas Carbide headlight and an After Hours Choppers tail light. The leather seat is from Anvil Customs.

Retro Mod Ultimate Builder Class
Bill Steele splits his time between Hot Rods and Hot Bikes and it shows as he creates some killer builds. Blue Baller is a Pan Shovel that features a smoothed chassis, foot clutch, jockey shift and a rebuilt and powder coated engine. The bike just looks right. As the feature that delivers the impact is Bill’s outstanding paint job… Bellissimo!

Performance Custom Ultimate Builder Class
Perry Paugh rolled his prostock drag bike, Kanji, into the I-X Center and rolled it out with $1,000 in his pocket. The 2004 Suzuki GSX 1300 features a TruTrac T4 Prostock frame, turbo and auto shift.

MOD Street Ultimate Builder Class
Thomas Foulds from Working Class Choppers won MOD Street with Jizzeppi, his 1982 Suzuki GS450. The bike includes new under tail frame and swing arm converted into mono shock. Special features include copper accents, with copper controls and rear controls.

The Fun Awards
People’s Choice and the Hashtag Hustler were won by Gary Savill of Silver Wraith Choppers.
The Hashtag Hustler is a new award with the builder winning a J&P Cycles $150 gift certificate for the best picture shot at the show using the using the #jpultimatebuilder hashtag.
SHO DOG Awards: John Klimo of Cuyahoga Valley Custom Cycles and Choppers takes the Rocking K Custom Leather’s chain wallet and Working Class Choppers takes the Garage Leathers’ Solo Bag. All award winners will receive a swag bag of Metal Rescue.
