Biker City USA – The City of Buffalo Chip

The first-ever biker city in the world? It could happen if recent rumor becomes reality: the Sturgis Buffalo Chip might soon be known as the City of Buffalo Chip, South Dakota.

The posted agenda for the February 12 Meade County Commissioners meeting lists “Municipal Incorporation of Buffalo Chip” as one of the items to be considered, meaning this isn’t just a pipe dream.

On the cusp of the Sturgis Rally’s 75th anniversary, the thought of bringing the rally back to its authentic grassroots is undoubtedly appealing. The J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder has a new class structure for the 2014 – 15 Season.

Freestyle – open class for any build with a motorcycle based drive train
Retro Mod – open class for any build with a motorcycle based drive train 25 years or older
Modified Custom – Must have a major OEM engine and frame. Neck may be cut to rake or stretch frame. Hard tail sections and wide tire kits are acceptable.

The Captain America chopper Peter Fonda rode in “Easy Rider” has come to symbolize the counterculture of the 1960s. Now it’s for sale.

According to The Associated Press , auction house Profiles in History estimates that the iconic American flag chopper will bring between $1 million and $1.2 million at the sale, which will be held online and at their galleries in Calabasas, California.
