Bell Helmets is awarding Custom 500 lids to the top placing competitors at the Muskegon Bike Time Extreme Custom Bike Show. Bell makes the original throwback and retro lids. They come with a custom-quilted liner, fiberglass shell, 5 year warranty and padded chin strap with D-ring closure.

Back in 1954 Bell founder Roy Richter formed his first helmet out of fiberglass and named it the “500.” Bell’s Custom 500 pays homage to Richter’s original design while adding modern protective technology to bring the design up-to-date.

The Muskegon Bike Time Extreme Custom Bike Show is sponsored by Hot Rod Harley-Davidson and Budweiser and kicks off on Saturday July 20, 2013

The Bike Show is awarding $4,000 in cash prizes. In addition, we have product awards from Avon Tires, Ridewright Wheels, Bell Helmets and HelmetLok. The four paying classes include:
