Kick off of the 2014 – 2015 J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show Season

At Biker Pros we put on custom bike shows across the country with the objective to support the industry and keep customizing alive and well in the USof A. Our 2015 series kicked off in Sturgis and will visit 13 cities and award over $90,000 in cash and prizes.

On Tuesday, August 5, 2014,  I was up early and in Downtown Sturgis prepping for the Ultimate Builder show on Wednesday. As I walked down Main Street I noticed a guy snoring as loud as a chain saw on a booth table. [Read more…]

Bare Knuckle Choppers Takes the FreeStyle Win

The J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show brought out the big guns of the Midwest including Bare Knuckle Choppers, Big Tony’s Chopp Shop, DD Custom Cycles, Chop Docs Choppers and American Biker.

When the dust settled the last builder standing was Paul Widman of Bare Knuckle Choppers. He walked to the stage and took the FreeStyle win, a check for $5,000 and the title of the 2014 Grand National Champion.

Washington, DC was an exceptional show with no less than 7 new custom bikes that made their debut at the J&P Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show. John Dodson of Gangster Choppers, Devon Eckert of Whiskey Tango Choppers,  Karn of Karns Kustoms and Steve Garwood of Garwood Custom Cycles brought their latest creations. Harley Maids Help the Awards Ceremony

Snow, ice and -10 degrees… Ahh Detroit in the wintertime. The roads were so bad a 20 minute ride from the airport took one and a half hours. The weather was so crazy, it included thunder snow.  So you would think that the Progressive International Motorcycle Show would be a ghost town… Nope. It was packed and the enthusiasts really liked the outstanding diversity of the custom bikes in the show.

All participating builders took home a J&P t-shirt and helmet bag. People’s Choice winner in Detroit was “Bone Dragger” from Keith Lafer of Classic and Exotic, who won a Bell Custom 500 helmet. The top 15 winners won a HelmetLok and a Metal Rescue product. Shannon Best won the SHO DOG award and receives a Rocking K Leather custom chain wallet and Evan Edwards of Plymouth Cycle and Speed takes home a Garage Leathers’ solo bag. [Read more…]

Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show

The Dallas edition of the 2013-14 Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show was packed from opening bell on Friday to the awards ceremony on Sunday at 4PM. The free parking for motorcycles drew a huge 2-wheel crowd that funneled into the Progressive International Motorcycle Show and the very first bikes they saw were the custom sleds from the show. The bike show diversity was spectacular with big wheel Yamaha Bobbers to a Diesel custom to huge tire baggers. [Read more…]
