The AMD Invitational Custom Bike Show is 50% Full in Milwaukee

chickThousands  of motorcycles are converging on Milwaukee this coming Labor Day for a weekend full of excitement. The Harley-Davidson Museum is hosting the AMD Affiliate  Custom Bike Show as part of the 13th annual “Milwaukee Rally” and the Harley-Davidson 110th Celebraiotn.

“We will have some of the best free-style bikes in the world on display,” Bob Kay with Biker Pros said. “We have bikes coming in from both coasts to compete at the mecca of custom bikes.”

Competition Heats Up in FreeStyle Class

Rick Bray is rolling in his award-winning Pala Duo custom sled to compete in the 2013 edition of the AMD Affiliate Custom Bike Show. If he wins the class he will be joing an elite group of Team USA members that receive a complmentary pass and travel to Germany in 2014 to represent the USA and compete in the World Championships.

The 2nd Annual AMD Invitational Custom Bike Show is held in Milwaukee on the Harley-Davidson Museum campus.

Bikes load-in on Wednesday on August 28, 2013 and runs through Sunday night on September 1, 2013. We expect to see over 300,000 enthusiasts at the AMD Invitational.

Come home to Milwaukee Labor Day weekend in 2013 to an epic anniversary celebration at the Harley-Davidson Museum® and the Henry Maier Festival Grounds (Summerfest Grounds). The H-D 110th Anniversary is all about the experiences of riding and inviting others to join in the good times. The celebration is going to places riders love and putting their rebel spirit on display for the world to see.

Harley-Davidson 110th Activities include
  • Harley enthusiasts can book housing or other lodging.
  • Additional 110th Anniversary Celebration activities in Milwaukee include fan-organized rides, a massive parade, activities at the Harley-Davidson Museum, parties at participating Harley-Davidson dealerships and street parties around the city.
  • The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to the Bradley Center in Milwaukee on Saturday, Aug. 31 in celebration of Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary! This action-packed card will feature some of the UFC’s best athletes and more than 10 hard-hitting bouts. Check back for ticket info.

  • Rock n’ Roll Hall-of-Famer Aerosmith and superstar Toby Keith will join Kid Rock as headline performers for Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Celebration in Milwaukee over Labor Day weekend. Toby Keith will perform Thursday, Aug. 29; Aerosmith will take the stage Friday, Aug. 30; and Kid Rock will round out the epic weekend of music Saturday, Aug. 31. Each headline concert is at the Marcus Amphitheater, located on the south end of Milwaukee’s Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds) and is a separate ticketed event. Fans who purchased 110th Anniversary ticket packages will have an opportunity to purchase tickets for the performance on April 29 at 8 am CST before they go on sale to the public May 6 at 8 am CST.
  • More than 60 bands will take to the stages of Milwaukee’s Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds). All of the concerts featured on the Summerfest Grounds stages are free to those who purchase a 110th Anniversary Celebration festival ticket. Check out the current line-up.
  • For Harley Owners Group® members, the 110th Anniversary Celebration Festival ticket also include the H.O.G.® 30th Anniversary celebration with members-only access to the Summerfest Grounds on Thursday, August 29, from noon to 5:00 p.m., including a headline performance by Lynyrd Skynyrd, along with other members-only activities throughout the weekend. There is no additional charge to H.O.G.® members to join in the celebration of the H.O.G.® 30th Anniversary. H.O.G.® membership card must be shown with a Milwaukee 110th Anniversary Celebration ticket for entry.

Custom Bike Show Weekend

Once again, the Museum will host one of the largest custom bike shows in the U.S. This event has something for riders and non-riders, and offers unique opportunities to experience and participate in the artistic side of motorcycling and its remarkable custom culture.

With over 160 bikes competing last year, this event has been extended over the entire Labor Day weekend. Friday and Saturday will showcase professional builders and Sunday will showcase the best amateur bike builders.

Open everyday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday
