Victory Motorcycles Ends Production and Ceases Operations – The brand launched in 1998 and attempted to compete head-to-head with Harley Davidson. Polaris Industries, a global producer of motorcycles and off-road vehicles, pulled the plug on its Iowa-made Victory Motorcycles brand, the company announced Monday.

“This was an incredibly difficult decision for me, my team and the Polaris Board of Directors,” Polaris Industries Chairman and CEO Scott Wine said in a news release. “Over the past 18 years, we have invested not only resources, but our hearts and souls, into forging the Victory Motorcycles brand, and we are exceptionally proud of what our team has accomplished.”

Fresh off the kick start of the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show in Long Beach, CA and the results were just… Wow! We had outstanding builds that were world-class from fit, finish and design.

The first show of the season is a great place to catch up on the latest products. Like K&N Filters, they released a new articulated miniature shaker hood air cleaner that looked like it was plucked off a 1970’s era Dodge Challenger.

The SHO DOG is awarded to the individual that works the show to promote their business and the custom bike industry. Charles Hollom took to the stage and received a leather solo bag provided by The Leatherworks, the home of the nickel bag.

The J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show circus rolled into Minneapolis with the weather in the low 30’s. Locals were happy because it was a warming trend in the city. When we rolled out it was frosty 12 degrees.

Even though it was Super Bowl 50 weekend, the show was packed with enthusiasts. The bikes were outstanding with the MOD Retro class full of interesting and diverse custom sleds.

J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder FreeStyle Class – Katie Washnok’s custom motorcycle is named Pearl and it took 1st at the Minneapolis 2016 Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show. Katie is the “better half” of the husband and wife team that builds custom bikes from Blackout Motors, a shop that is a stones throw from Sturgis, SD.

The Republic of Texas Invitational Custom Bike Show is a show within the old-school ROT Rally.

In the middle of the Austin, Texas the Thunder Dome over 30 custom bikes were on display representing 3 custom classes including FreeStyle, Custom Retro and Custom Street. Four of the bikes had won national shows so the competition was outstanding.

The Invitational Custom Bike Show is diversified. Everyone from professional builders to enthusiasts that delight in personalizing their machine provided an outstanding show for the ROT Rally enthusiasts.
