The J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show rolled into Miami with a pronounced Latin beat. The energy was high inside the Miami Convention Center with Cartel Baggers making their presence known by displaying 16 custom Baggers in the MOD Harley and FreeStyle classes.

This story is about two young upstarts in the motorcycle industry, Andrew Ursich & Imogen. They didn’t stumble into each other until the Bikernet.com website tossed them together for a photo shoot in the Port of Los Angeles ghetto for 5-Ball Leathers.

Actually, Imogen, who runs the Great Frog wild skull jewelry outlet on Melrose in Hollywood, was first discovered by the Bikernet feature photographer, Markus Cuff, while looking cute at a Born Free Show. Her slender form and dramatic tattoos attracted his attention.

Paul Andrecola’s 600HP / 177 MPH Gremlin

Progressive Pat caught up with Paul Andrecola and his 600HP Gremlin trike at the 2015 NYC edition of the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show. The Gremlin is a GM 502 CI Big Block engine. It features aluminum heads, roller cam, twin 4 barrel carbs on a tunnel ram intake mated to a turbo 400 race tranny connected to a 9” Ford aluminum rear-end.

Interview: George Stinsman of Chaos Cycle

Stinsman’s motor, called a Shovester, features a Shovelhead top and Sportster bottom. 500 hours in machine work went into the mil. It’s an interpretation of the 70’s era drag bike. George clipped the tranny and installed a Baker 6. A slick for the rear tire and a custom Chaos Chopper front wheel gives it a down and dirty look. He took home a check for $2,000.

And the big story from the 2015 edition of the NYC round of the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show is that the two custom bike reveals from Speakeasy Motors and Forever Two Wheels came in 1st and 2nd respectively.

Keith “Bandit” Ball is the Godfather of the Custom Bike industry and acts like a human switch as calls start early in the morning and often runs late into the night as he puts people together and keeps his thumb on the pulse of the custom motorcycle industry.

Recently Bandit put a $100,000 restoration build deal together for Billy Lane.

Back in the day Hugh King, producer of Biker Build off series, called and wanted a fresh face for a new show called Monster Garage. Bandit gave the nod to Jesse James and he made TV history.
